Job summary

Effective School Solutions is seeking a Per Diem Licensed School-Based Mental Health Clinician to provide school-based mental health services across districts. The role offers flexibility in scheduling, with an hourly rate starting at $50+ and coverage for leaves as needed.

You will work with students, families, and school staff to deliver evidence-based care, crisis intervention, and consultation. This position emphasizes high-quality clinical practice within public schools.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Active clinical license in the state where services are provided (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT).
• 4+ years of experience working with children/adolescents with behavioral and emotional needs.
• Experience providing training and coaching to educational professionals and parents/caregivers.
• Experience with schools, families, and community-based services; school-based experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, school-based mental health services including individual, group, and family therapy, plus intake and assessments.
• Partner with families and facilitate parent support programming.
• Conduct risk assessments and crisis intervention; coordinate referrals to appropriate levels of care.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the school-based program and serve as primary clinical contact for school partners.
• Lead weekly consultation sessions and collaborate with families, school staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
