Job summary

Main Line Health Paoli Surgery Center is seeking an RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) to join our perioperative team. The RNFA will assist the surgeon with exposure, positioning, draping, hemostasis, suturing, and directing OR staff.

Per diem schedule 6:30am–3:00pm, minimum 36 hours every 6 weeks. Requires 3+ years perioperative nursing as scrub and circulator; RN diploma/ASN; RNFA program; PA license; BLS; ACLS; CNOR. Tuition reimbursement up to $6,000 annually.

Qualifications

• RN Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Completion of an RNFA program (verification required).
• PA RN license or multi-state license via Nursing Licensure Compact.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon as Surgical First Assistant in the OR.
• Prepare, position, drape patient and control bleeding.
• Direct other surgical staff and assist with wound exposure.
