Job summary

Main Line Health is seeking an RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) for Paoli Surgery Center. The role involves direct surgical assistance, patient positioning, prepping, hemostasis, wound exposure, suturing, and guiding the surgical team in a perioperative setting.

Requirements include at least 3 years as scrub and circulator, RN licensure (PA or multi-state via NLC), RNFA program completion, and BLS/ACLS/CNOR certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years perioperative nursing practice as scrub and circulator.
• RN Diploma/ASN required; BSN preferred; RNFA program completion.
• PA RN license or multi-state license via the NLC; BLS, ACLS, CNOR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon as Surgical First Assistant: positioning, prepping/draping, bleeding control, wound exposure, suturing and tissue mobilization; direct staff.
• Work per diem schedule 6:30am–3:00pm; ensure coverage at least 36 hours every 6 weeks.

Position:

RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant)

Shift:

Per diem, 6:30am - 3:00pm. Minimum of 36 hours every 6 weeks.

Experience:

At least three (3) years of experience in perioperative nursing practice as both scrub and circulator.

Education:

1. RN Diploma, ASN required; BSN preferred.

2. Completion of a recognized RNFA Program (proof of verification required).

Licensures/Certifications:

1. PA RN license OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.

2. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) required.

3. ACLS required.

4. CNOR Certification.
