Job summary

Atlantic Health System's Overlook Medical Center in Summit, NJ is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem day shifts (7a-3p) in vascular access. You will collaborate with the care team to monitor patients, administer medications, document care, and educate patients on treatments.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited nursing program, hold an RN license in New Jersey, and have BLS certification; BSN and ACLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS certification required.
• BSN preferred; MSN preferred.
• 1+ year nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
• Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
• Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
• Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions.
• Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members.
• Records patient vital signs and medical information.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
