Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our per diem night shift team. The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, partnering with the care team to deliver safe, compassionate nursing services in a fast-paced setting.

Minimum 0-1 years of experience; NJ RN license required with BLS and ACLS. Associate's degree required, Bachelor's preferred. Per diem schedule includes 12-hour night shifts and weekend coverage as needed; benefits available for eligible colleagues.

Qualifications

• 1 year of nursing experience preferred; 0–1 years required.
• Current NJ RN license; BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs an assessment of the patient, leading to development, implementation and evaluation of a plan of care.
• Administers, monitors and documents therapeutic interventions and regimes.
• Participates in clinical decision-making.
• Educates patient and family/responsible party regarding disease process, individual care needs, wellness, safety issues, etc.
• Delegates and monitors care rendered by other members of nursing department and healthcare team.
• Participates in orientation, education and development of healthcare team.
• Maintains professional and departmental level competencies.
