Job summary

Owensboro Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct nursing care in its Urgent Care Owensboro location. This per diem/PRN role supports patient care under established policies, procedures, and protocols.

The successful candidate will coordinate care with physicians and multiple disciplines, monitor patient conditions, and assist with discharge planning and patient education tailored to age and culture. Prioritization and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher or Diploma in Nursing required upon hire.
• RN license in Kentucky required upon hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 45 days of employment.
• Able to work in a high-stress environment and follow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator of care among disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Assists with discharge planning and family education.
