Job summary

Adventist Health Bakersfield is seeking an experienced registered nurse for per diem coverage in the Surgery department. You will deliver coordinated patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting, support the team, and participate in discharge planning and patient education.

Requirements include RN licensure in California, BSN preferred, CPR/BLS certification, and hospital or physician office experience. Day shift; per diem schedule; competitive pay.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in California is required.
• CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor is required.
• BSN preferred; hospital or physician's office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care in a clinic/hospital setting following standards and nursing process.
• Supervises and directs nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines.
• Prepares patient, room and equipment for surgical procedures and assists during minor surgery.
• Collaborates with the team and participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
