First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital opportunities in the Hampton Roads area. You choose shifts, with day and night options, and can build a flexible schedule.

Per diem nurses enjoy competitive pay, daily or weekly pay options, and mobile scheduling to fit your availability. Active VA RN license and current BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Active Virginia RN license.
• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and other PCU equipment.
• Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records.
• Follow hospital infection-control and patient-safety guidelines.
• Provide patient and family education.

$56.25-$58.00/hour

Per Diem | Hampton Roads, VA | Days & Nights Available

Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
• Additional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.
