Job summary

First Choice Nurses of Eastern VA is seeking experienced PCU Registered Nurses for per diem hospital assignments in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. Per diem shifts provide day or night options with the ability to build a schedule that fits your availability.

Ideal candidates hold an active Virginia RN license, a minimum of 2 years in PCU, and current BLS/ACLS. QuantiFERON-TB Gold testing and COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required by hospitals.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN License is required.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• BLS, ACLS certifications.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care in an acute care hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and PCU equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams; maintain accurate EMR records.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
• Current BLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemptionAdditional credentials may be required based on the hospital assignment.
