Job summary

Northwest Eye Surgeons in Alaska seeks a per diem Registered Nurse to support our ophthalmic surgical team. Responsibilities include preoperative and postoperative calls, patient admission and discharge, and intraoperative circulation with conscious sedation.

ACLS/BLS training is provided; licensure and uniforms are provided. No evenings or weekends and a competitive hourly pay range is offered for this part-time role; 1 year OR/ASC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed as a Registered Nurse.
• Current ACLS certification mandatory.
• 1 year operating room/ASC experience preferred.
• Conscious sedation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative and postoperative patient calls.
• Patient admission and discharge.
• Record and analyze patient histories, symptoms, and conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician.
• Intraoperative circulation and conscious sedation administration.
