UNC Health's UNC Medical Center Medicine Specialty Unit is expanding with a 27-bed unit focusing on acute pulmonary and infectious disease care, equipped with dual-channel telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry, serving HIV-positive patients, respiratory disease patients, and adults with cystic fibrosis.

The Clinical Nurse provides competent care, coordinates delivery using the nursing process in a hospital setting, reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director, and participates in education,

Formación

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsabilidades

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and communicates for continuity of care.
• Implementation - Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems and coordinates care.
• Leadership - Supports interdepartmental collaboration and participates in unit goals and performance improvements.
• Patient Assessment - Recognizes data to determine priorities and plan care.
• Planning - Collaborates with patient/family to prepare or update the plan of care.
• Research - Reads journals and brings ideas to the staff for assessment of applicability.

Educación

Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
