Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
• One year of nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and participates in plan evaluation.
• Implementation - Delivers care for complex patients and coordinates with the care team.
• Leadership - Supports unit goals and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Patient Assessment - Assesses and prioritizes care needs and discharge planning.
• Planning - Collaborates with patient/family to update the care plan.
• Research - Reads journals and discusses applicability to practice.
