Job summary

Unitek College is seeking BSN clinical instructors to join our team on a per diem basis. Candidates must have OB or Pediatrics experience; no teaching experience required.

You will teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings, focusing on obstetrics, and participate in curriculum development and student assessments. Qualifications

• Hold a valid, active nursing license (RN) in the state.
• Master of Nursing or higher degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least four years’ experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care.
• A year of clinical teaching or teaching-related experience within the last five years.

Responsibilities

• Teach and supervise nursing students in classroom and clinical settings, focusing on obstetrics.
• Collaborate with faculty to develop, administer, and grade course materials and examinations.
• Evaluate student performance and maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and clinical skills.
• Participate in curriculum development, quality improvement initiatives, and program assessment.
• Orient and mentor new faculty members in both theory and clinical instruction.
• Utilize adult learning principles and integrate technology in teaching methods.
• Maintain current knowledge of obstetrics nursing practices and safety regulations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, committee activities, and student advising.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet learning objectives and facility requirements.
• Submit required reports and forms to the program director in a timely manner.
• Maintain professional development and contribute to the nursing program's mission and goals.
