Job summary

The University of California in Santa Monica seeks an experienced registered nurse to join our acute care team. You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and monitor a care plan, and ensure interventions meet patient goals.

Responsibilities include evaluating outcomes, delegating tasks within a collaborative team, and educating patients, families, and staff on clinical and care issues in a busy PACU/ICU setting.

Qualifications

• Please ensure your resume clearly specify the unit(s) you have worked on.
• BSN or MSN is required.
• Current California RN license is required.
• PACU experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS and BLS certifications are required.
• Recent ICU or ER adult patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing physical assessments.
• Develop a plan of care with goals, monitoring and documentation.
• Implement interventions aligned with goals.
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and reassess as needed.
• Delegate tasks in a leadership style to promote teamwork.
• Educate patients, families and staff on clinical and care issues.
