Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Per Diem in Home Health in Virginia. The RN PD will provide comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning and patient education, while ensuring quality communication and teamwork.

Requirements include an RN license (Virginia or eligible), BLS certification, and at least two years of RN experience. Associates degree required; BSN preferred. Competitive pay range applies to first shift per diem roles.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Virginia or eligibility.
• BLS certification required for Healthcare Provider.
• Two years of RN experience required.
• Virginia Board of Nursing requirements for compact/non-compact licensure.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, evaluation and documentation.
• Direct, coordinate and implement patient teaching and safety initiatives.
• Lead teamwork and maintain professional communication within the health team.
