Job summary

Valley Health System seeks a Registered Nurse for per diem shifts to deliver high-quality nursing care. You will participate in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation while teaching patients and supporting safety initiatives.

The role requires an RN license with Virginia eligibility, BLS certification, and at least two years of RN experience; BSN is preferred. This position is based in Virginia with per diem scheduling and opportunities to advance professionally.

Qualifications

• Education: RN Diploma/ASN/ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Experience: Two years RN experience required.
• Licensure: RN license; Virginia residency/licensure per Virginia Board; multi-state or single-state license.
• Certification: BLS certification; AHA Healthcare Provider; specialty certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, evaluation, documentation, and time management.
• Communicate effectively, collaborate with the health team, and demonstrate leadership/professionalism.
• Provide patient teaching, support quality/safety initiatives, and coordinate activities of health team members.
