Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a per diem Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our team. The role offers market-leading pay and a shift differential of up to $7 for evening, night, and weekend shifts, with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, direct care, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to meet care goals. Includes discharge planning and participation in quality/safety education programs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).
• Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patient and family throughout the continuum of care.
• Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
• Active participation in patient quality and safety education programs.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessments and plans of care with unit standards.
• Delivers direct patient care including treatments and medications.
• Coordinates with physicians and interdisciplinary team to resolve patient needs.
• Contributes to discharge planning and education of patient/family.
• Engages in unit-based decision-making and quality/safety initiatives.
