Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Oro Valley Hospital, per diem, provides patient-centered care through the nursing process and coordinates with the care team to ensure high-quality outcomes. This role floats to all Northwest Healthcare facilities as needed, working 2 day shifts per pay period in the Float Pool.

Ideal candidates will apply infection control, administer medications, and participate in CPR and life-saving interventions as required.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing and current state licensure.
• BCLS required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and nursing documentation.
• Proficiency in medication administration and monitoring for adverse effects.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process and clinical protocols.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects per standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop and adjust care plans.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Adhere to infection control practices and ensure a safe care environment.
