Job summary

Penn Medicine Doylestown Health, in the Same Day Surgery department, seeks a per diem Registered Nurse to deliver evidence-based nursing care and collaborate with physicians and the care team. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, and documenting patient care, ensuring patient safety, and providing education for patients and families.

The role requires a BSN, Pennsylvania RN licensure, and current BLS; ACLS and PALS certifications are expected within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree-BSN, Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure by the State Board of Nursing, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
• Certified in BLS – For Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED)
• ACLS, PALS (obtained within 12 mos. of hire)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and document patient care according to nursing standards and hospital policies.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals.
• Provide teaching and discharge planning based on assessment of self-care knowledge/ability.
• Maintain timely and accurate charting, including medication administration and order transcription.
