Job summary

VytlOne is seeking a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to support retail pharmacies in the Far Rockaway area, including St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and Premium Health outpatient sites. The role emphasizes customer service, patient counseling, and team leadership.

Responsibilities include dispensing medications, reviewing drug therapy, and assisting with pharmacy operations. A NY Pharmacist license and PharmD or equivalent are required; vaccines are required by policy.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy; PharmD or equivalent.
• Current New York Pharmacist license.
• Experience in fast-paced retail pharmacy environments preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and fill drug orders and counsel patients.
• May act as Pharmacist-In-Charge in the absence of store PIC/Pharmacy Manager.
• Consult with physicians regarding prescriptions and irregularities.
• Dispense prescriptions and prepare IV admixtures when applicable.
• Maintain patients' medication records and inventory controls.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure accurate timesheets and payroll.
• Engage in staff training, committees, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Promote excellent customer service and teamwork.
