Job summary

Maxor National Pharmacy Services seeks a Per Diem Staff Pharmacist to join our retail team in the Greater New York City area, located at Boriken 10035. The role emphasizes patient counseling, accurate dispensing, and leadership in a fast-paced retail environment.

Candidates should hold a Pharm D or equivalent, be a licensed New York pharmacist, and bring experience in pharmacy operations and team supervision. HIV/AIDS experience is a plus; this per diem position offers competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
Pharm D or equivalent demonstrated experience required.
Current New York Pharmacist license.
Prior experience in a fast paced retail setting.
Experience in HIV/AIDS clinical setting is a plus.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal accrediting bodies and OSHA rules preferred.

Responsibilities

Interpret and fill drug orders.
Provide patient information and counseling.
May act as alternate store leader in absence of Pharmacist-In-Charge/Pharmacy Manager.
Dispense prescriptions, compound, and prepare IV admixtures if applicable.
Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, interactions, allergies and appropriateness.
Maintain patients’ medication records.
Supervise pharmacy technicians.
Participate in inventory control and pricing activities.
Attend and participate in programs and trainings.
Promote compliance with policies and ethics.
