St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse, NY is seeking a part-time Per Diem Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide specialized respiratory care across clinical areas, exercising independent clinical judgement under physician supervision.

The position requires NBRC-credentialed RRT with NY licensure, an associate degree (bachelor’s preferred), BLS/ACLS/NRP/CPR certification within orientation and ongoing education. Per diem pay is based on experience and location.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CoARC accredited program in respiratory care with an Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the NBRC required and licensed by the State of New York.
• Participation in orientation and ongoing education as mandated by New York State; annual competency in populations served.

Responsabilités

• Assumes primary clinical responsibility for respiratory care modalities in the clinical area.
• Supervises students enrolled in respiratory care programs and exercises clinical judgement under physician supervision.
