Job summary

Universal Health Services' West Henderson Hospital in the Las Vegas area seeks a Respiratory Therapist II for per diem, varied shifts to deliver respiratory therapies and assessments across ICU, NICU, and Labor & Delivery.

Requirements include AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist program, Nevada Respiratory Care license, BCLS, and NICU experience preferred; NRP/PALS/ACLS are desired.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Technician/Therapist program.
• One year in adult respiratory preferred. Level 3 NICU experience preferred; RRT, HFJV, Oscillator and Nitric.
• Current State of Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care license. Current State of Nevada Blood Gas Technologist or General Supervisor license (or must apply for blood gas technologist license within 30 days from hire date). Current BCLS certification; The following to be obtained within 90 days: NRP, PALS and ACLS.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas, including critical care, NICU and Labor & Delivery.
• Performs responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training.

Education
