Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RT) to work per diem/PRN at our Wilmington, DE location, inside ChristianaCare Wilmington. The role offers 12-hour day shifts with a $45.00 hourly rate and weekend differentials, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

This position supports our hospital's post-ICU care and patient recovery teams. The ideal candidate will hold an active NBRC CRT/RRT credential, BLS, state licensure, and ACLS by hire, with preferred 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

• Active CRT or RRT NBRC credential required.
• BLS certification by start date.
• Current state licensure required.
• ACLS required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
