Job summary

Atlas Healthcare's skilled nursing facilities in Southern Massachusetts are seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist for per diem coverage. You will perform cardiopulmonary evaluations, administer therapies, monitor patient responses, and work with a collaborative care team to improve resident outcomes.

Requires Massachusetts license in good standing and graduation from an accredited respiratory care program (associate or bachelor's preferred). One year of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited respiratory care education program.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiopulmonary evaluations and diagnostic testing.
• Administers respiratory therapies per physician orders and plan of care.
• Selects and validates equipment for respiratory treatment.
• Monitors residents’ responses to treatments and reports changes.
• Teaches residents and families proper use of respiratory equipment.
• Collects blood specimens and performs blood gas analysis as permitted.
