Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, IL, is seeking a Per Diem Respiratory Care Practitioner I to perform respiratory therapies and pulmonary diagnostics. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, implementation, and documentation of care tailored to patient age and needs.

A lead role may be assigned during shifts in the absence of supervision. Required licensure/certifications include RCP license, NBRC CRT, BLS, ACLS and PALS within set timelines.

Competenze

• Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license required.
• Current NBRC CRT required; exempt if hired before March 2026.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS certification within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate at hire or within 60 days.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of acute care experience required.

Mansioni

• Perform respiratory therapeutic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Perform pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
• Assess, plan, implement and document care with age/population considerations.
• May be Lead RCP in supervisor absence and manage the section/department during shift.
