Job summary

Advocate Health’s Respiratory Therapy Services team in Chicago is seeking a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist. The role supports comprehensive respiratory care with a focus on patient safety and excellent experience, working the 6:30a–7p first shift and committing to at least three shifts in a four-week cycle.

The position requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Care, an active state RCP license (NBRC credentials as applicable), and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care is required.
• No prior experience is required.
• RCP license in the practicing state is required; NBRC credentials as applicable.
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Assess and provide respiratory therapies per care plan.
• Operate ventilators in designated care settings.
• Educate patients on therapy goals and self-care.
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Collaborate with care teams to optimize patient outcomes.
