Job summary

Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA is seeking an Associate Respiratory Care Practitioner for a Per Diem role with 12-hour, variable shifts.

You will provide respiratory therapy across non-critical and adult ICU areas as ordered by the Medical Staff. Required qualifications include graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program and a California Respiratory Care Practitioner License, with BLS on hire and ACLS/PALS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.
• California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• National Provider PALS - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• Clinical experience in Respiratory Therapy with background in physiology and pharmacology.

Responsibilities

• Provides Respiratory Therapy in all non-critical areas and all adult critical care areas as ordered by the Medical Staff.
• Performs blood gas analysis and interpretation; maintains quality control on testing instruments.
• Supervises Respiratory Care Students and reports through the chain of command.
