Job summary

Schenectady-based Mohawk Opportunities, Inc. seeks Per Diem Relief Counselors to support individuals with mental illness in community residencies. You will provide counseling, teach daily living skills, assist with medication management, and help coordinate recreational activities to reduce stress.

Responsibilities include supervising medications, maintaining a clean living environment, and collaborating with staff to ensure client well-being. Background checks are required."

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid required (training provided).
• Background checks required.
• Human services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing supportive counseling.
• Providing rehabilitation skills such as teaching of daily living skills including medication management and coping skills, crisis intervention and prevention.
• Facilitating recreational activities for socialization and stress reduction.
• Supervise medications.
• Maintain a healthy and clean environment for clients and assist with chores.
