Job summary

Mohawk Opportunities, Inc. invites applications for a Part Time Dominion House Residence Counselor to support adults with mental illness in a group home setting.

You will provide counseling, teach daily living skills, and assist with medications and coping strategies. The role includes coordinating recreation, maintaining a safe, clean environment, promoting inclusion, and transporting clients using agency vehicles.

Qualifications

• BA preferred; college classes in human services noted.
• Demonstrated ability to help others.
• Valid, insurable driver's license; personal vehicle for business.
• Experience working with people with mental illness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive counseling.
• Teach daily living skills including medication management and coping skills.
• Organize recreation activities for socialization and stress reduction.
• Maintain a healthy, clean environment and assist with chores.
• Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.
• Provide transportation to clients using agency vehicles.
