Job summary

Atlantic Health is seeking a per diem Rehabilitation Aide to join the inpatient Rehab Team at Morristown Medical Center. Shifts vary on weekdays and are ideal for individuals pursuing careers in Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy.

The incumbent will assist rehabilitation therapists and assistants in treating acutely ill patients, help with exercises, bathing, and daily activities, and transport patients to the therapy center as needed.

Qualifications

• Assists therapists in patient care as part of an interdisciplinary plan.
• Supports therapy sessions through equipment handling and prep.
• Communicates with therapists and patients to coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Assists the therapist in carrying out each patient's interdisciplinary plan of care for therapy.
• Maintains equipment and advises the therapist of any issues that arises.
• Prepares and manages supplies and equipment's and maintains rooms for therapy sessions.
• Ensures and manages the phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient queries.
• Maintains and organizes the inventory supplies, ordering stock, and cleaning the stock areas.
• Ensures and maintains equipment and treatment room clean before and after therapy session.
• Performs and assists day-to-day non-clinical patient care duties.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
