The Interventional Radiology (IR) Department is a high-acuity procedural unit specializing in minimally invasive image-guided procedures. IR nurses work closely with interventional radiologists, technologists, and anesthesiologists to provide high-quality care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Patients are admitted from various hospital units, including the Emergency Department, ICU, and medical-surgical floors, requiring specialized nursing care before, during, and after procedures. This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, demonstrating critical thinking, adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient safety and procedural excellence. Nurses collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Per Diem
The professional registered nurse possesses and applies the skills and knowledge necessary for the delivery and management of patient care from admission through discharge. The nurse is knowledgeable of current healthcare trends, including advances in technology, pharmacology, treatment modalities, quality, and patient safety. The nurse advocates for patients and families while fostering a collaborative environment among healthcare providers. Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and managing patient/family-centered care using the nursing process and adhering to standards based on research and evidence-based practices. The nurse provides clinical excellence that supports our patient and family-centered care model.
