Position Summary

We are seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Neuro ICU, Nights. The successful candidate will:

• Practice in accordance with the American Nurses Association's scope and standards of nursing practice.
• Use clinical expertise to plan and deliver safe, population-specific patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Incorporate the needs of patients and families into care delivery.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to promote wellness and optimize outcomes.
• Provide leadership by orienting, mentoring, and managing team members to ensure quality, compassionate, and respectful care.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives impacting patient and service outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Practice in an environmentally safe manner.
• Evaluate personal nursing practice against professional standards and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required for hires after 9/1/2020; prior hires are grandfathered).
• Current and valid NY State Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Knowledge of standards of practice for all patient care areas.
• Excellent communication, organizational, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• 1-2 years of nursing experience.

Required Licenses

Registered Nurse License - NYS
