Harmony Healthcare Long Island is seeking a Registered Nurse for per diem assignment in Elmont, NY. You will provide patient care within our Nassau County health centers, conduct assessments, administer vaccines, and collaborate with physicians and the care team.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Between 3-5 years of relevant experience in healthcare preferably in progressive supervisory roles.
• Licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of New York.
• Basic CPR (BCLS) Certification required along with Infection Control Certification.
• Excellent communication skills, critical thinking, judgment, listening and interpersonal skills
• Cultural and linguistic sensitivity to populations served.
• Familiar with computers (i.e. Microsoft Office)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish or Creole.

Aufgaben

• Implements individualized patient care within the health center.
• Conducts patient interviews, reviews systems and assesses pain levels and management.
• Communicates and documents patient’s health status and plan.
• Collaborates with physicians/providers and other health team members in planning and carrying out treatment regimes.
• Provides supervision to LPN and MA according to their Scope of Practice.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient history, treatments, and responses to care.
• Monitors patient progress and responds to changes in status to ensure safety.
• Administers vaccines/immunizations and responds to emergencies.
• Educates patients and families and supports health promotion activities.
