Heritage Oaks Hospital in the Sacramento area is seeking a Per diem Registered Dietitian. Plan modified diets, perform nutritional assessments, and counsel patients and families on dietary plans, food choices, and nutrition principles in coordination with physicians.
The role supports nutrition services, monitors improvement efforts, and contributes to patient care plans to meet nutritional needs. Per diem schedule; hospital setting.
Heritage Oaks Hospital is a freestanding, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital dedicated to serving the greater Sacramento area. We provide treatment to teens, adults and seniors living with mental health challenges.
Here at Heritage Oaks Hospital we are currently seeking a Per-Diem Registered Dietitian to join our team. In this role you will plan modified diets as requested by the attending physician/licensed practitioner, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and counsel's patients and their families on dietary plans, food selections, preparation and nutritional principles. Monitors the performance improvement plans of the Dietary Services department and provides input in the development and implementation of patient care plans in relation to nutritional needs.
Schedule: Per diem
Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics; Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Requires a minimum of three (3) years dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutritional assessment and planning. Mental Health experience preferred. Must be willing and able to run groups
Licensure: Registration with the Commission on dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
