Job summary

Atrium Health University City is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations under radiologist direction. The role involves coordinating daily activities, patient prep, and clerical duties within the radiology department.

Qualified candidates are ARRT-recognized, registry eligible within 1 year, and must hold BLS certification. Strong communication and patient interaction skills are essential for safe, accurate imaging and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program.
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and the patient population served.

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment and demonstrates correct positioning.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
