Job summary

Marion Surgery Center in Ocala, FL, is seeking a Per Diem Radiology Technologist (PRN) to support daytime and on-call coverage. You will perform radiographic procedures across OR, trauma, pediatric and outpatient settings, ensuring safety and quality in imaging and patient care.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program, AART registered, CPR current, and able to work independently with strong communication.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology program.
• AART Registered and CPR Current required upon hire.
• Knowledgeable of local, state, federal and AAAHC regulations.
• Must possess independent decision making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic procedures across multiple areas including OR, trauma, GI, outpatient and inpatient diagnostic radiology.
• Operate x-ray equipment and adjust exposure according to safety procedures.
• Prepare and set up supplies and equipment; position patients for anatomical views.
• Monitor equipment and assist with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
• Record films and label with identifying information; report changes in patient condition to staff.
• Consult with lead tech and radiologist to ensure quality standards are met.
• Keep work area clean and orderly in compliance with procedures.
