The role involves performing diagnostic radiographic procedures, ensuring image quality, applying radiation safety, and maintaining patient records. It requires WI licensure, AART registration, CPR within 90 days, and independent problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited school of Radiologic Technology and AART registered.
• Licensed in the State of Wisconsin.
• CPR Certification within 90 days of hire.
• Self-motivated and able to be flexible.
• Ability to problem-solve and function independently.
• Must adhere to established regulatory agencies, Beloit Health System, and department policies, rules and regulations.
• Reporting Relationship: Clinical Manager of Medical Imaging; advisement from Radiologists.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient services using imaging modalities as prescribed by a physician.
• Performs radiographic and other related imaging procedures.
• Applies principles of radiation protection and evaluates radiographs for technical quality.
• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment and related devices as appropriate.
• Ensures proper documentation of exam and quality control checks.
• Maintains accurate patient records and confidentiality.
• Supervises, assists, instructs and communicates effectively with radiology students.
