Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ is seeking a Per Diem Radiology Technologist to perform a range of imaging procedures including radiography, CT, mammography, bone density, and ultrasound following department protocols. You will interact with patients to ensure comfort and accuracy in imaging, while supporting team goals.

The role requires ARRT accreditation, state fluoroscopy permit, BCLS certification and familiarity with regulations; at least one year of acute radiography

Qualifications

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Two national certifications in two modalities.
• Current BCLS (AHA).
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, CT, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound or Special Procedures per department protocols.
• Acts as first point of contact with customers to address imaging needs.
• Participates in PI/QC activities and assists in Performance Improvement program.
• Oversees radiology area and/or staff in Manager/Director’s absence; maintains supplies and equipment.
• Schedules for assigned sub‑departments and ensures smooth workflow and image transmission to PACS.
