Job summary

Concord Hospital in New Hampshire is seeking a Radiation Therapist to deliver prescribed radiation therapy under supervision. Experience with Varian and TrueBeam systems and ARIA treatment software is preferred.

Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy program; ARRT registration and NH licensure with BLS certification; able to participate in on-call rotations and maintain accurate EMR documentation. You will collaborate with oncologists and support staff to ensure safe, effective treatment

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved program in Radiation Therapy Technology required; AS or BS preferred.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and NH State Licensure, BLS Certified.

Responsibilities

• Administers radiation therapy treatment within the scope of practice and departmental standards.
• Performs daily quality assurance and safety procedures on the equipment and reports variances appropriately.
• Maintains routine daily treatment machine schedule and patient treatment calendar.
• Positions, immobilizes, and aligns patients according to the treatment plan and effectively evaluates and assists in solving setup issues.
• Monitors patient's response and reactions to treatment and refers the patient for appropriate management as needed.
• Accurately documents all treatment delivery information into the electronic medical record.
• Assesses pertinent patient information, prepares and educates the patient on procedures and expectations.
• Acquires and evaluates treatment images and makes appropriate changes according to the imaging guidelines.
• Contributes to the simulation and planning of treatment.
• Takes call on a rotating basis.
• Adheres to all Concord Hospital and Departmental Policy and Procedures.
