Job summary

Astera Cancer Care in New Jersey is seeking a credentialed Radiation Therapist to join our oncology team. Under supervision, you will perform Simulation CT and treatment delivery with a linear accelerator, document procedures in the EMR, and support patient education and comfort throughout the cancer journey.

Must graduate from an approved Radiation Therapy Program, maintain New Jersey State License and ARRT, and hold BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Program.
• New Jersey State License and ARRT.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform Simulation CT duties as required and directed by the attending physician and physicist.
• Operate the linear accelerator to deliver prescribed dosage with accuracy.
• Monitor patients during therapy procedures and report any unusual reactions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and department workflows.
• Prepare and/or administer contrast as needed and ensure proper setup.
• Mentor and train new staff as assigned.
• Adhere to all regulatory, infection-control and safety guidelines.
