Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a Radiation Therapist to deliver ionizing radiation per the Radiation Oncologist's prescription and Simulation Instructions. The role requires careful patient setup and adherence to safety protocols within a collaborative oncology team.

Education: GED or higher and graduation from an approved Radiation Therapy Program. Preferred experience with Varian equipment (TrueBeam/ARIA).

Responsibilities

• Deliver ionizing radiation per Radiation Oncologist's prescription and Simulation Instructions.

The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the delivery of ionizing radiation to treat patients in accordance with the Radiation Oncologists prescription and Simulation Instructions.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Graduate from an approved Radiation Therapy Program.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with Varian equipment / Truebeam / ARIA.
• True Beam and CT anatomy.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Radiation Therapy License.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification - ARRT (T).
