Job summary

Southeast Health seeks an experienced Radiation Therapist to deliver ionizing radiation to patients following the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription. The role requires ARRT registration within 18 months of eligibility and a relevant degree or completed program.

Candidates should have prior experience in a clinical Radiation Oncology setting and be proficient with Windows-based computer systems for treatment planning and documentation.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration must be completed within 18 months of eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or 24-month Radiologic Technology program with ARRT registration.
• Previous experience in a clinical Radiation Oncology setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ionizing radiation to patients per the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist in a safe and accurate manner.
• Operate radiation therapy equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain patient safety, comfort, and quality of care during treatment sessions.

Qualifications

• Eligible for registration in Radiation Therapy Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Registry must be completed within eighteen (18) months of eligibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or satisfactory completion of a 24-month course in Radiologic Technology and ARRT registration.
• Previous experience in a clinical Radiation Oncology setting.

Language / Communication Skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Skills

• Experience in operating personal computers including operation of computer software in a Windows environment.
