Job summary

Southeast Health in Dothan, Alabama, is seeking a Medical Dosimetrist to plan and QA radiation treatments under the supervision of the medical physicist and radiation oncologist. This on-site role supports a not-for-profit academic health system serving the region.

Required: Bachelor's degree in a related science, ARRT or CMD registration eligibility, knowledge of radiation oncology equipment, and prior dosimetrist experience. Preferred: CMD certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related science.
• ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy Technology or CMD registration, eligibility for CMD Board.
• Knowledge of radiation oncology equipment and radioactive materials.
• Preferred: CMD Certification.
• Prior dosimetrist experience in a clinical setting.

Job Description Summary

***$6,000 Sign-On Bonus / ONSITE POSITION*** The Medical Dosimetrist is principally involved with the planning and quality assurance of radiation treatments to patients. The dosimetrist acts under the direction of the medical physicist and radiation oncologist.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related science, ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy Technology or CMD registration, eligibility for registration by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
• Knowledge and familiarity with radiation oncology equipment and radioactive materials.
• Preferred: Certification by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board.
• Previous experience as a dosimetrist in a clinical radiation oncology setting.

LANGUAGE/COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

SKILLS

Preferred: Experience in operating personal computers including operation of computer software in a Windows environment.
