Job summary

Sigma Health Rehab is recruiting for a per diem Physical Therapist (PT) position at Far Rockaway Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Far Rockaway, NY. The team includes physical, occupational, and speech therapists using a state-of-the-art rehab gym to improve residents' lives.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
• Current New York State PT License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents' conditions and develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans.
• Relieve residents' pain using exercises, hands-on therapy and stretching.
• Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance.
• Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants.
• Maintain resident confidence and protect facility by keeping information confidential.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members and contribute to team effort.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program

Current New York State PT License
