Job summary

The McLean Hospital Corporation in Belmont, MA is seeking a per diem Community Residence Counselor (CRC) to provide direct patient care within our residential programs. Under supervision of the Program Director and Nurse Manager, you will participate in the therapeutic milieu and support daily living activities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree in Related Field preferred.
• MAP Certification from MA DPH required.
• 1 year patient care or related experience; psychiatric setting preferred.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong time management, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with electronic systems (PRISM) and Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care through group and individual counseling.
• Maintain accurate documentation and shift notes.
• Lead and participate in patient rounds and groups.
• Monitor medication administration and discuss effects with medical staff.
• Support nursing staff and assist with activities of daily living.
• Ensure safety and professional boundaries; follow program policies.
