Job summary

MedMark Treatment Centers in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Per Diem Program Physician to provide early-morning opioid treatment services.

Schedule: 5:00 am to 11:00 am, 3–4 days per week; responsibilities include admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine, taking histories and exams, documenting in EMR and adjusting dosing.

The role requires Texas license and addiction medicine experience, offers per diem compensation and opportunities to supervise PAs and NPs.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Addiction Medicine preferred.
• Must be licensed in the state of Texas.
• Minimum 1 year addiction medicine and primary care experience.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Admitting patients for methadone and buprenorphine treatment.
• Cover absences for the Medical Director during vacations, addiction meetings, and personal absences.
• Obtain a history and physical examination.
• Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing or buprenorphine prescriptions.
• Consistently monitoring patient dosages with the Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses.
• Consulting on high-risk patients and performing annual medication reviews.
• Willing to supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.
