Job summary

UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine in Los Angeles seeks a Principal EEG Technologist for the telemetry EEG lab. This part-time position requires self-direction, strong EEG setup skills, and the ability to rotate to UCLA sites as needed.

Three years of related experience is preferred; role includes Adult and Pediatric Telemetries, ICU continuous EEG, Outpatient and Portable Studies. Certification in EEG is required and ABRET EEG Pathway eligibility is welcomed.

Qualifications

• R. EEG T. Certification – required for Senior and Principal Tech.
• BLS Certification – required for all Tech positions.
• Eligible for an ABRET EEG Pathway through a Neurodiagnostic program.

Responsibilities

• Work with self-direction and rotate to other UCLA sites as needed.
• Perform routine and long-term EEG setup with minimal supervision.
• Describe EEG findings to assist physicians in preparing EEG data.
• Learn new protocols, including Adult/Pediatric Telemetries, ICU EEG, outpatient studies.

At the level of Principal EEG Technologist it is expected that the individualshow self-direction. This is a part time EEG technologist position at thetelemetry EEG lab at our UCLA Medical Centers. This position may require you torotate to other and future UCLA sites as well. It is expected that theindividual be capable of performing routine and long-term EEG setup withminimal supervision. The basic rudiments of EEG acquisition should be secondnature. Artifact detection/elimination skills should be adequate.The technologist should be able to describeEEG findings in a review style format to assist physicians in preparing EEGdata and to be flexible enough to learn new protocols i.e. Adult and PediatricTelemetries, ICU continuous EEG, Outpatient, Portable Studies. You may provide support at our Ronald Reagan, Santa Monicaand West Valley Medical Center Hospitals.

A minimum of three years of experience in the relatedfields is required for the Principle EEG title. Those who do not meet thoserequirements will be considered for the EEG Technologist or Senior Technologisttitle based on credentials and years of experience.

Salary Range EEG Tech: $30.84

Salary Range Senior EEG Tech: $49.58

Salary Range: Principle EEG Tech: $67.61

Salary Range: $30.84 - $67.61 Hourly
