Job summary

Newport Healthcare is seeking a Primary Therapist to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate individual, group, and family therapy within our clinical model. You will connect directly with families and collaborate with treatment teams to ensure coordinated care.

You will lead family orientations and support groups, conduct intake assessments, and participate in staff meetings and clinical supervision. A patient-first mindset and cultural sensitivity are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field (required).
• Enrollment in a doctorate program from an accredited or state-approved graduate school (required).
• A patient-first mindset that inspires delivering high-quality care.
• Cultural sensitivity and interpersonal savvy for building relationships with colleagues, clients, and families.
• A problem-solver who digs deep and crafts skillful solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assessments, develop treatment plans, and facilitate therapy sessions (individual, group, and family).
• Collaborate with treatment teams and connect directly with families.
• Lead family orientations, welcome presentations, and family support groups.
• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment and safety plans.
• Participate in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision sessions.

Education
