This role involves leading prenatal and postnatal education classes and support groups. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma, CT DPH Certified Doula, and experience with expectant mothers. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 4-year degree in health science preferred.
• Experience working with expectant mothers and new families; patient teaching experience in perinatal or women's health services preferred.
• CT DPH Certified Doula required.
• Certification in area of specialty (IBCLC, Certified Lactation Counselor, Prepared Childbirth Education-PCE) preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides educational support to parents and families attending prenatal and postnatal classes.
• Offers emotional, physical, and education support for perinatal patients on a one-to-one basis.
• Provides feedback to the program regarding operations and individual patient needs.
• Performs other related duties as required.
